The club is hosting a forum called <a href="https://www.avonct.gov/sites/g/files/vyhlif151/f/uploads/gcbugs3.pdf" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">"Insects &amp; Their Amazingosity!"</a> and it will take place at the Church of St. Ann, 289 Arch Road, Avon, at noon. The event will feature a light lunch to start and then the club's guest speaker, author/illustrator/naturalist John Himmelman. According to the club, Himmelman — co-founder and president of the Connecticut Butterfly Association — will discuss the symbiotic relationship between bugs and gardens. He will also discuss "the remarkable adaptions" insects have made to survive, including dragonflies, bees, butterflies and beetles. There is a $15 fee for the lunch/lecture and it is payable at the door. Reservations are required and to book a seat, email Jody Morgan at mrgnJ3@aol.com.
