Learn Healthy Eating At Special Avon Library Program

AVON, CT — Folks looking to clean out their pantry and start eating better can get started with a free program at the Avon Free Public Library on Thursday afternoon.
A 2 p.m. Thursday, May 22, the library, located at 281 Country Club Road, Avon, will host "Spring Into Health."

The event will allow participants to "make a fresh start this spring," wrote the library.
It will have folks merging sustainability and health with seasonal produce tips, what to keep and what to toss when you spring clean your pantry, and how to celebrate Earth Day every day with your eating habits, with ShopRite dietitian Hannah Waxler.

Waxler is the registered dietitian at ShopRite of Canton, where she provides nutrition services to the Canton and Avon communities.
ShopRite offers nutrition counseling, personalized shopping tours, group classes, and more.
"Hannah is passionate about making nutrition simple, so you can feel empowered in your daily food choices and live your healthiest life," wrote the library.
