Learn To Meditate Stress Away At Avon Library Program
The free, virtual program is being hosted Thursday by a retired executive and meditation expert.

AVON, CT — A free virtual event on Thursday hosted by the local library will help folks calmly cope with any stress they may face in the new year.
The Avon Free Public Library is hosting medication expert Jim Rose for a virtual event entitled "New Year: Fresh Start Through Meditation."

It will take place Thursday, Jan. 18, at 7 p.m.
"Learn a simple meditation technique to bring joy, peace, positivity, and relaxation into your daily life," wrote the library. "There will even be a chance to try this out. Begin the New Year with a fresh start."

Rose is a retired executive of a Fortune 100 company and has 35 years of experience in human resources management, employee development, and conflict resolution.
He currently gives workshops and training to groups throughout the world where he connects meditation and spiritual development to important aspects of our lives.
He has been meditating for more than 40 years and now focuses much of his time on his spiritual development and in helping others who wish to do the same.
