An area visiting nurse's organization is conducting regular screenings for blood pressure and blood sugar at Avon Town Hall.
AVON, CT — In addition to being a place to pay your taxes, take out a permit, and conduct other municipal business, Avon Town Hall is also a place to get potentially life-saving information.
The Simsbury-based Farmington Valley Visiting Nurse Association is now at town hall, which is located at 60 W. Main St. and is conducting free blood pressure and blood sugar screenings for folks.
The screenings are always on the third Tuesday of the month, which in May is Tuesday, May 21, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Building No. `1 (Avon Room) on the lower level.
