AVON, CT — The local library this week is hosting a special virtual program that should relax and energize folks as they head into fall.
The Avon Free Public Library presents is hosting "Meditation: An Antidote to Stress" on Thursday, Sept. 12, at 7 p.m.

"Explore the healing power of meditation and learn how to create peace in your life in spite of the stress around you," wrote the library in an announcement.
The program will be facilitated by Ankaj Goel, a long-time meditator.

He is a director of quality assurance in the healthcare industry and has many years of experience in problem-solving and quality assurance.
Goel has been meditating for over 15 years and is "very impressed with the results he has experienced personally."
