AVON, CT — If you have a good idea on how Avon can spend some available funding toward community events, the town wants to hear from you.

The Town of Avon is seeking applications for its "Support for Community Events Grant Program."

Applications are currently being accepted from non-profit entities for qualified events occurring from March 1, 2026, through June 30, 2026.

The deadline for the submission of applications is 4 p.m. on Jan. 2, 2026.

The Support for Community Events Grant Program aims to provide financial aid to local festivals, special events, or community programs designed to provide recreational and/or cultural opportunities for residents and generally promote the Town of Avon.

The Support for Community Events Grant Program regulations and application are available for download HERE.

Those interested are asked to review the regulations carefully before filling out an application to ensure that an organization and event meet the grant requirements.

Groups can submit a completed application form (Appendix A) in hard copy or email to: Town of Avon, Department of Recreation & Parks, 60 W. Main St., Avon, CT 06001, or via avonrec@avonct.gov.

Applications will be reviewed by a staff committee and recommended to the Avon Town Council for consideration of award at its Feb. 5, 2026, regular meeting.
