Norcom Mortgage Hosts Blood Drive in Avon

Norcom Mortgage will host an American Red Cross blood drive May 18.

Norcom Mortgage is hosting a public blood drive with our friends at the American Red Cross on Wednesday, May 18 from 9am – 2pm at our office in Avon CT (blood drive will be located in the training room.)

We are now scheduling appointments. Appointments run every 15 minutes with the last slot starting at 1:45pm. To schedule your appointment, you can email heathandsafety@norcom-usa.com with a time that would be best.

Are you eligible to donate?

  • Minimum age requirement is 17
  • Be in good general health and feeling well the day of the drive.
  • Weigh at least 110 lbs.
  • Get a tattoo in the last 12 months? You are eligible to donate as long as your tattoo was done in a state that regulates parlors. States that DO NOT regulate are: Georgia, Idaho, Maryland, Massachusetts, Nevada, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Utah, Wyoming and the District of Columbia.
  • Travel outside the U.S./Canada in the last 3 years? You will be asked a series of questions to determine if you are eligible to donate.
  • Donate recently? You must wait 8 weeks between donations.
