Parking Area Closed At Avon Hiking Trail

AVON, CT — A parking lot for a well-used hiking trail will be fully closed for two days this week, town officials announced on Tuesday, April 8.

The impacted area is the Rails to Trails trailhead lot at the Avon Public Works facility at 11 Arch Road, Avon.

Work in that area required a partial closure of the lot on Tuesday, with full closure on Wednesday, April 9, and Thursday, April 10.

"We apologize for any inconvenience this closure may cause," wrote the town.
