Brooks (boothbayregister.com) — Avon residents are mourning longtime community member Alan Fletcher Brooks, 89, who made his home in Simsbury and Avon for 65 years and passed away on November 18. A devoted educator and leader at Westminster School, he was also deeply involved in regional schools, athletics, and family life. Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 13 at Westminster’s Andrews Memorial Chapel.
