Police interviewed the driver, who was not Ortiz, and determined who was working that route on the day of the attack.
Ortiz, who does not have a criminal record in Connecticut, went to the Chicopee police station just after noon Monday and was arrested on a fugitive from justice charge. He was being held without bail after his arraignment in Massachusetts Monday and was expected to arrive in Connecticut on Tuesday.
