Traffic To Be Slowed In Avon Due To Sewer Project
A sewer extension project was expected to begin on Tuesday, with local officials warning of potential traffic impacts.
AVON, CT — A sewer extension project was set to begin Tuesday, Aug. 15, and local authorities are warning motorists to be patient.
The Town of Avon's engineering department said the Timber Lane sewer extension project involved building 850 feet of sewers.
Weather permitting, work would begin at the intersection of Brookmoor Drive and Timber Lane and will run southerly along the eastern edge of Timber Lane, town officials said.

Jones Construction out of Farmington estimates the project will take approximately five weeks to complete, weather permitting, town officials said.
"Traffic in the area will be allowed through the construction area but with moderate delays at times ," wrote the town Tuesday.
