When Could Showers and Thunderstorms Hit Avon?

Showers and thunderstorms are possible for both Tuesday and Wednesday and we'll let you know when they are forecast to arrive.

It appears, according to the National Weather Service’s latest forecast, that it will be mostly cloudy for all of Connecticut on Tuesday before showers and thunderstorms possibly move in - likely after midnight.

The weather service says there is a 50 percent chance of showers and an occasional thunderstorm throughout the day on Tuesday, but not much is expected in the way of rain as less than a tenth of an inch is forecast to fall. Temps will be around 80 degrees statewide.

But after midnight that is a different story. Odds of showers and a thunderstorm or two increase to 60 percent and the weather service writes rain is likely after midnight.
