BERLIN, CT — Local Republicans are hosting their annual raffle fundraiser, one in which a lot of shopping power could come to those who win.The <a href="https://www.facebook.com/p/Berlin-Republican-Town-Committee-100064794276283/" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Berlin Republican Town Committee</a> is currently running its seventh annual raffle, with tickets on sale now for the October drawing and $2,000 in gift cards up for grabs. "In an effort to please everyone's spending pleasures, we are offering all gift cards this year," wrote the local GOP in an announcement.First- and second-prizes are $500 Visa gift cards, and third- through sixth-prizes are $250 Visa gift cards.The drawing is on Thursday, Oct. 9, at 6 p.m. at American Legion Post 68, 154 Porters Pass, Berlin.To purchase tickets, contact Arlene (Grecoarlene@yahoo.com)/203-906-3736 and/or Andra (milleal@comcast.net)/860-670-5131.
