Berlin Library Hosting A Very Unique Writing Contest
The library's 'Last Line Contest' is challenging local writers to submit a one-sentence conclusion for an imaginary novel.
BERLIN, CT — If you're tempted to write something like "Call me Ishmael" or "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times," this Berlin-Peck Memorial Library contest isn't for you.
That's because the library, via its "Last Line Contest," is looking for local wordsmiths to craft an ending to an imaginary novel, not an iconic beginning.
"In this contest, we challenge you to craft the final sentence of an imaginary novel. Whether it’s a twist, a farewell, or a lingering mystery, make it unforgettable," wrote the library in an announcement.
