Berlin Kicks Off Season With Tree-Lighting Celebration

The event will take place this weekend on Main Street.

BERLIN, CT — Berlin kicks off the holiday season this Saturday, Nov. 29, with its annual community Christmas tree lighting.

Sponsored by the town's four fire departments, the annual holiday tradition will take place on Main Street from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.

The event will feature food trucks, Christmas carolers, holiday music, cookie/ornament decorating, face-painting, and train rides.

Also planned is a visit from ole Santa Claus himself at 6 p.m., all culminating with the lighting of the town's Christmas tree.

The free event is funded via donations from the Town of Berlin, the Berlin Lions Club, American Embroidery, Berlin Upbeat, Sam's Club, Dance Legacy, and the Niro Family Farm.
