Berlin Library's 'Swap Shop' To Help Back-To-School Shoppers
The Berlin-Peck Memorial Library on Saturday, Aug. 16, is hosting a free 'swap shop' for unused school/office supplies.
BERLIN, CT — With back-to-school season rushing forward as August progresses, the Berlin-Peck Memorial Library is hosting a special event Saturday, Aug. 16, that might help.
The library, located at 234 Kensington Road, Berlin, is hosting its "Office and School Supplies Swap Shop" from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
From 1 to 4 p.m. Friday, Aug. 15, folks looking to unload extra school, office, and paper supplies can do so at the library.

Items sought and available include writing tools, notebooks, paper supplies, organizers/cases, desktop tools, boards, and tech equipment, among other items.

Then, on Saturday, Aug. 16, "swap day" allows folks to visit from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to "shop" and pick up what they want for free.
For those who donated to the swap shop, there is an early bird entry at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Otherwise, anyone is welcome from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., even folks who were unable to donate to the event.
There are no bags, so guests are asked to bring their shopping bags.
