Berlin Reminds Motorists Of Major Repaving Projects

Both a state road refurb and the re-paving of three town roads will begin this spring.

BERLIN, CT — Local officials are reminding folks about two upcoming road rehabilitation projects planned to get underway as soon as Mother Nature allows this spring.

• The first project is a state rehabilitation of Route 372 in Berlin and Cromwell, according to a release issued by the Town of Berlin last week.

This project will repave a 4-mile stretch or road at the Berlin/Cromwell town line.

• Meanwhile, Berlin officials announced a reminder about a paving project for 2023 that will include Christian Lane, Deming Road and Porters Pass in town.

Town officials said this will "impact traffic flow at various times over the 2024 construction season."

This project is expected to start up April 3 and be completed by the fall, according to the Town of Berlin's DPW.

In addition, daytime and nighttime traffic delays are expected during the course of the project, DPW officials wrote in an announcement.
