BERLIN, CT — A multi-million road renovation project in Berlin now has a design engineer after the Berlin Town Council earlier this month hired one.

In a unanimous vote, the council Feb. 7 hired Manchester-based Fuss & O'Neil to be the lead designer for the reconstructino of Christian Lane, Deming Road and Porters Pass.

The design engineering firm, which regularly does business with several municipalities, was hired for $41,000.

According to Berlin Public Works Director Mike Ahern, two other firms have been hired to construct the roads and administer and inspect the project.
