Update: Crash Cleared At Berlin Turnpike

Single-vehicle rollover in Berlin caused injuries and closed road. It's now cleared.

BERLIN, CT — A serious crash on the Berlin Turnpike Friday morning resulted in part of the road's closure, according to the state Department of Transportation, but it is now cleared.

DOT officials said a single-vehicle accident, reported as a rollover, happened on Route 15 northbound at Woodruff Road, closing that part of Route 15.

Berlin police via Facebook said earlier Friday morning the crash scene was in the area of Route 9's on and off ramps through Woodruff Circle.

They said the accident did cause some serious injuries.

State officials said the crash happened at about 5:23 a.m. and, as of late this morning, it was cleared.
