• Berlin Play Area Reopens After Refurb (patch.com) — Families in Berlin can once again enjoy the Little People’s Playground at 218 Kensington Road, which has reopened after renovations that added a shade canopy, tables, and new equipment. The 2.25-acre park now offers upgraded landscaping, inclusive play features, and amenities like benches, bathrooms, and picnic tables, with help from the Berlin Garden Club.
   

• Berlin, Brookfield are familiar football playoff foes, including state final in New Britain in 2014 (thehour.com) — Berlin High’s undefeated Redcoats football team heads to New Britain Saturday night to face Brookfield for the Class M state championship, renewing a long-running playoff rivalry. The matchup recalls Brookfield’s 2014 title win over Berlin and several other postseason clashes, giving local fans a chance to see if the Redcoats can finally flip the script in this familiar showdown.
