Toddler Killed In Berlin Crash, Several Hospitalized: Report

Four adults and four children were treated by fire department and EMS personnel.

BERLIN, CT — Authorities are investigating a serious multi-vehicle crash in which a 1-year-old was killed, according to media reports including WTNH News 8.

At 2:51 p.m. Saturday, emergency responders were called to Route 5 at North Colony Road for a serious multi vehicle accident.

"Arriving units found three vehicles involved and were confronted with multiple injured parties," the fire department posted on social media. "One of the vehicles was confirmed to roll over during the accident and multiple parties were ejected from another one of the vehicles."

Four adults and four children were treated by fire department and EMS personnel from Hunters Ambulance, and transported to area hospitals. Lifestar was requested but canceled due to availability. A ninth person, unrelated to the accident was assisted for a medical issue while in traffic.

Berlin Police and Midstate Accident Reconstruction remained on scene for the investigation.
