Overturned Vehicle Cleared On Route 9 In Berlin: UPDATE

One lane of travel was closed, resulting in traffic backups.

BERLIN, CT — An overturned motor vehicle on Route 9 in Berlin caused traffic chaos on the state highway Friday afternoon, according to the state Department of Transportation, but it is now cleared.

The DOT reports the crash was on Route 9 South between exits 31 and 30, resulting in the closure of the right lane.

The crash was first reported at 1:24 p.m. and it is now no longer listed on the DOT's incident report.
