First Selectman Matt Knickerbocker told Patch the new site has been designed to focus on "streamlined graphics and easier navigation."
"Mostly our constituents will find an easier site," he said. "You'll be able to more easily find info. When I talk to residents about our [old] site, I find out not too many people use it because it's clunky. It was state of the art in 2003, but the town hasn't done justice to it. We want to make it easier for people to find what they're looking for."

Knickerbocker says the town will also offer a mobile app and online newsletter, as well as emergency notifications and important local info like transfer station hours.
The site has become more appealing graphically as well. A photo slideshow currently shows off businesses like Famous Pizza and Bethel Cycle alongside picturesque scenes from around town.
