Beloved Branford Main Street Bakery Poised For Big Move

The local bakery has an ardent following and has big plans for this summer.

BRANFORD, CT — Cheri's Bakery is planning a move to a new, larger location in Branford, according to news posted on the bakery's Facebook page.

"Exciting news! We’re thrilled to announce that we’ll soon be moving to a new, larger location in Branford! This expansion will allow us to offer more variety and better service to our amazing customers. We are incredibly grateful for the continued support from the Branford community and all our loyal customers- we could not have done it without you! Our new space is expected to open mid-summer at 116 N Main St Branford (former Beauty Works) Until then you can find us on 1208 Main Street Branford. Stay tuned for updates - we can’t wait to welcome you to our new home!" the bakery posted.

More than 360 people responded to the post, and 50+ well-wishers congratulated the business on the upcoming move.

Cheri's Bakery is family owned and operated and began in 1998. More than 7,000 people follow the bakery on social media.

According to information posted on the bakery's website, the family-run bakery in downtown Branford has 50 years of "making exceptional Italian baked goods with high quality and traditional know-how for decades."

Patrick Gargano and his son, Pat Jr. "practice the old-world methods of Italian baking, and take pride in sharing them to all," the bakery's website states.
