FOR KIDS: Reading & Eating Healthy - Katharine Albarella, ShopRite dietitian, will be visiting the James Blackstone Library. She will be teaching kids about MyPlate and healthy eating habits. There will be a story-reading, a nutrition lesson and fun activity, and making of Halloween treats.
JBML Teen Advisory Board - first meeting - Help make the library the place where teems belong. Library staff want to know what teens want: materials, programs, service projects.

Public Meeting Re: New Senior Center for Branford - The group called "Voices for Branford Seniors" is hosting an open-forum style public meeting to discuss a new senior center for Branford. All are welcome.
Eating Well with the Chefs of La Cuisine - October 24th is Food Day, celebrate with the chefs of La Cuisine! They will share with you the benefits of healthy, sustainable eating, the philosophy that drives their restaurant & catering business.
Friday, Oct. 25
Spook-tacular Halloween Party - Food-free halloween party hosted by the Food Allergy Education Network. Crafts, games, prizes, raffles and more. Costumes encouraged. Spooky but not scary at all.
Saturday, Oct. 26
Fall Festival of Gifts & Craft Sale - Craft Fair will feature handmade items such as knitted hats, gloves, scarfs; quilts, handpainted Christmas ornaments personalized ornaments, hand-painted wine glasses, jewelry, candles, and much more.
Medlyn Farms Hay Rides - Hayrides will be held on Oct. 26 and 27 at the farm from 12pm to 4pm. The farm hours are 10am to 6pm.
Wicked Window Painting Party - Paint a window in the library with your best Halloween design. All ages!
All you can eat Buffet - American Legion Post 83 in Branford is hosting an All-You-Can-Eat Buffet fundraiser at the Post hall, 243 N Main Street.
OktoberFest Pork Roast Dinner - Included on the family style menu are: loin pork with onions, mashed potatoes, red cabbage, green beans, apple sauce, bread, beverage and an assortments of desserts.
Branford High School Class of 1973 Reunion - Branford High School's Class of 1973 will hold their 40th reunion.

Walsh Dance Team Fundraiser - The Walsh Dance Team is holding a 'Shake the Can' fundraiser at the Branford Stop and Shop.
Stony Creek Studios Student Art Show and Reception - The show will feature recent works by students of Stony Creek Studios taught by Maureen Wilkinson and Christine Chiocchio. Many will be for sale.
