Obituary: Debra Ann Palmese (Porto Funeral Homes)

Debra Ann St. Jacques Palmese, 69, of East Haven, beloved wife of Louis A. Palmese, passed away on December 21, 2025 surrounded by her family at her home. Loving mother of Christopher (Bernadette) Palmese of North Haven, and Michael (Heather) Palmese and Ashley (Steven) Redente all of North Branford. Cherished grandmother of Payton, Brianna, Ivy and Scarlett Palmese; and Olivia, Aria and Marco Redente. She is predeceased by her granddaughter, Lilliana Redente. Sister of Darlene (Lee) Hackett and Patricia (Joseph) Corrone all of Branford. Debra was born in New Haven on July 31, 1956 daughter of the late Donald and Beverly Dion St. Jacques. Prior to her retirement, Debra worked for Physicians Alliance of CT in the Medical Billing Department. She enjoyed annual family trips to Atlantic City, going to the casino and grabbing lunch. She lived for her family, enjoying family time and showing up to all the kids' and grandkids' sporting events. Debra loved to crochet and loved to bake and make cakes for all the grandkids' birthdays. She was the family seamstress, always fixing the grandkids' stuffies. Also, Debra loved butterflies and cardinals.

Family and friends are invited to a parlor service on SATURDAY morning, December 27, 2025, in the PORTO FUNERAL HOME, 234 Foxon Rd. (Rte. 80), East Haven at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in St. Agnes Cemetery. Family and friends may call SATURDAY morning from 8:30 a.m. until time of service.
