Branford Dad 'Works Very Hard Every Day For Us,' Daughter Says

BRANFORD, CT— Father's Day is the perfect time to give a big thanks to all the dads who put smiles on our faces. Branford, meet Edison Cumbicos.

What makes your dad extra special?

My dad works very hard every day for us. He leaves really early in the morning and comes home really late at night. He runs his own company: Over The Hedge Masonry & Landscaping but me and my brother like to call it over the edge because sometimes we think Dad's over the edge being stressed with how much he works. My brother and I don't listen most of the time and act like we don't appreciate the things he does for us, but we like it when he takes days off to go to the park or cookout, even if we do complain before.

Why do you feel your dad deserves the spotlight?

My dad deals with a lot of people, some nice some not so nice. He deals with me, my brother and my mom and sometimes we all give him a headache. But we want to let him know we appreciate him anyway, even if we don't say it.
