Former Branford Resident Had Six Guns In Car: Police
The accused is being held in lieu of a $250,000 bond.

BRANFORD, CT — A former Branford resident, Jason Newman, 30, has been charged on outstanding arrest warrants, police announced today. Newman was arrested on Feb. 8.
Police said an investigation and search of Newman’s vehicle led to the discovery of six handguns, police said.
Newman was charged with six counts of criminal possession of a firearm, six counts of illegal possession of a weapon in a motor vehicle, and four counts of illegal possession of a high capacity magazine. He was detained on a $250,000 bond. The investigation is ongoing.
