Branford Police: Shout Out "To Heroes Who Answer Our Phones"

BRANFORD, CT - Across the country, it's National Public Safety Telecommunications Week for police departments across the country and the Branford police want to make sure their staff is recognized.

On the department's Facebook page, the department has this to say:

"It’s National Public Safety Telecommunications Week and we would like to recognize our emergency telecommunicators here at Branford Police!

"Our telecommunicators handle Police, Fire and Medical calls. They are the “thin gold line, the narrowest of lines representing those who are rarely seen, but always heard and appreciated. The calm voice in the dark, the heroes behind the scenes, the golden link that holds it all together”.
