Branford Police Welcome Polish National Police Department To Town
The Polish police consists of criminal, patrol and supportive services. Currently, there are 100,000 officers and 25,000 civilians

BRANFORD, CT - The Branford Police Department recently had some visitors far away - the Polish National Police force!
On its Facebook Page, the Branford police had this to say about the unexpected visit:
"The Polish National Police are a uniformed and armed force, which main goal is to serve and protect the people, and to maintain public order and security.

"Part of their duty is "the protection of people's health and life, the protection of property, the protection of public safety and order, creating and organizing community policing and crime prevention activities, detecting crimes and misdemeanors, arresting people who committed crimes, the control of regulations, regarding public life and public spaces, and the cooperation with police forces from other countries and international organizations."
"The Polish National Police consists of criminal, patrol and supportive services. Currently, there are approximately 100,000 officers and 25,000 civilian employees. Court police is also part of the Polish National Police."
