“Christmas Miracle” (New Owner) Sought For Tied Up Dog: Shelter
Branford's Cosgrove Shelter: "Every day you help us make miracles happen and we are asking for help again on behalf of Tabby."

BRANFORD, CT - After caring for a dog that was tied up every day outside for 14 months for close to a year, the Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter is hoping for a “Christmas Miracle,” in other words to finally find a new home for “Beautiful Tabby.”
On Facebook, the shelter is making this plea:
“Beautiful Tabby will be with us a year in January. Tabby has behavioral issues that were caused by humans...this is no fault of her own.

“A person purchased Tabby because "they always wanted this type of dog" but they couldn't handle her. So they tied her up outside in CT (which is where she lived day in and day out for 14 months) until a kind police officer convinced this person to owner release her.
“Tabby at first was not socialized to people but she has come such a long way with the help of a trainer. She enjoys walks, going for rides in the car, playing with toys and she would prefer a fenced in yard. Tabby is still learning about other animals and children so she would prefer to be the only pet as of right now.

“We know trying to find only animal homes is one of the toughest things to do.....but we have faith in all of you. Every day you help us to make miracles happen and we are asking for that help again on behalf of Tabby. We believe she is a curly coated/flat coated retriever mix and she is about 2 years old.
“Tabby thanks you for sharing her story and she is hoping for a Christmas Miracle!”
If interested in adopting Tabby you can reach the animal shelter at 203-315-4125.
