Branford's Holiday Tree Lighting and Parade Is Set For Saturday, Here's What You Need To Know

Parade kicks off at 6:30 p.m. from Branford High School, travels west on Main Street to Town Green with Tree Lighting set for 7:15 p.m.

BRANFORD, CT — Saturday, the town's Holiday Tree Lighting and Parade begins at 6:30 p.m. at Branford High School, with the Parade traveling west on Main Street to the Town Green.

The tree lighting will be around 7:15 p.m.

The Branford Police Department asks that motorists to "please be patient with road closures, which will begin at around 5:45 p.m."

Similar to past Holiday parades, the following roads will be closed around 5:45p.m.:
  • East Main Street (near Shell and Branford High School) westbound to the Center
  • Main Street (Town Center Area)
  • Montowese Street (traffic will be diverted to South Main Street coming from Montowese Street and the shore area) during the tree lighting and parade.

Police ask that folks, "Please be mindful of 'No Parking' signs in the area of Main Street, from Ivy Street to Harrison Avenue, which is prohibited on both sides, Montowese Street, from Main to Bradley Street, also prohibited on both sides, Blackstone Avenue/Town Hall Drive/Taintor Drives, again, prohibited on both sides of those streets.

For those who do park in a 'No Parking' area, police note that those vehicles may be subject to tow at the owner’s expense.
