BRANFORD, CT — The Branford Public Schools' facilities master plan is set to be finalized this spring.

Three Community Conversation dates are set for residents to learn more and weigh in. The first is Tuesday, Feb. 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Francis Walsh intermediate School. Folks may attend in person or virtually. The second and third are scheduled for the end of March and the end of April.

According to the Board of Education, the facilities master plan will "guide the district's long range capital planning over the next 15 years, incorporating recently published demographic and enrollment data, community input, programming needs and an assessment of existing infrastructure." It was created by Tecton Architects.

The plan will outline both major renovation, plans and corresponding capital maintenance plans. The facilities master plan will be used to help rank priorities and considerations in identifying future facility investments and improvements, as well as achieve accurate cost projections.

"This process will gauge the entire community, including a diverse group of school, administrators, students, and faculty committee members, businesses, town staff and residence," the District noted.
