Alfred Leo Miller Jr., 85, died June 10, 2025; a U.S. Marine Corps First Lieutenant and insurance professional with Crum and Foster, The Hartford, and Aetna, he served 14 years on the Ellington Board of Selectmen, volunteered with local organizations, and was an avid fan of the Red Sox and UConn women’s basketball.

Letitia “Lee” Thompson, 87, died June 8, 2025; she worked for 25 years as manager of the Indian Neck Package Store and enjoyed time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
John W. DeCola Jr., 69, died June 7, 2025; a mechanical engineer who worked for Harco Laboratory, American Eagle, and later independently, he was an avid billiards player.

Cornel Dolana, 87, died June 6, 2025; an electronic engineer and founder of Doltronics, he escaped Communist Romania in 1959, authored a memoir on his journey, spoke publicly about perseverance, and enjoyed storytelling, wildlife, casino visits, and time with his grandchildren.
Brian Fenn Lynch, 79, died June 3, 2025; he was CEO of The Children’s Center and founder of Children’s Community Programs of Connecticut, where he led child welfare initiatives for decades, and enjoyed travel, art, and time with his family.
George F. Costanzo, 92, died May 31, 2025; a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, he worked as a tool and die maker at A.C. Gilbert and later as a maintenance mechanic for Stop & Shop, retiring after 27 years, and spent his retirement officiating bocce, serving on a condo board in Ft. Lauderdale, and participating in parish and club activities.
Margaret Drotar Zvonkovic, 98, died May 26, 2025; she spent much of her life living in multiple countries and U.S. states alongside her husband and resided in Texas for the past 47 years.
Jonathan Yale Tucker, 76, died May 21, 2025; a U.S. Navy veteran and University of New Haven marketing graduate, he worked in sales and as a Certified Nursing Assistant, volunteered at Connecticut Hospice, and enjoyed boating, fishing, and sharing hobbies and outings with his family.
