• Branford Athletes Named To 2025 All-SCC Fall Sports Teams (patch.com) — Branford sports fans can celebrate a strong showing by local athletes named to the 2025 All-SCC fall teams, with Hornets recognized in boys and girls soccer, field hockey, girls volleyball, girls swimming, and football. From standout scorers to key defenders and swimmers, Branford players earned first- and second-team honors across the conference, underscoring the town’s depth of talent this season.
   

• Branford's Martin Luther King Breakfast in its 41st year, brings people together of all backgrounds (ctpost.com) — Branford residents are invited to the 41st annual MLK Day Breakfast on January 19, 2026 at Branford High School, featuring civil rights attorney Preston Tisdale. Hosted by the MLK Heritage Foundation and Branford Public Schools, the morning will include student performances, a full hot breakfast, and a community-focused program celebrating Dr. King’s legacy. Tickets are $20 for adults and $5 for students.
