Dorothy Albert Crockett, 84, passed away Aug. 26. Dottie was a dedicated gardener and animal lover, active in the Connecticut Dahlia Society and local shelters. With her husband Dave, she grew award-winning dahlias and created celebrated floral arrangements. She cherished her yard and perennial beds, loved walking, animals, and traveling—especially to Hawaii. A loyal UCONN Huskies fan, she attended several Final Fours. Her life was marked by passion for nature, beauty, and the causes she supported.
Linda Kathryn (Smith) Peterson, 72, passed away Aug. 15. Linda dedicated much of her career to education, serving as a devoted public school teacher before retiring. A true lifelong learner, she embraced her creative side as an artist, craftsperson, maker, gardener, and naturalist. Known for her resourcefulness (more tools than any one person should ever own), she did not shy away from hands-on work around her tiny waterfront cottage.

James Lazar, 73, passed away Aug. 26. James worked in sales for Globe Equipment for many years.
