Sacred Heart Academy's Newest Sister Antonine Signorelli, ASCJ Scholars Celebrated
Students from Branford and Guilford were among the newly named Antonine Scholars.

From Sacred Heart Academy:
Each year, incoming freshmen with the highest entrance exam scores and those who demonstrate outstanding academic potential are selected to receive Sister Antonine Signorelli, ASCJ Memorial Scholarships at Sacred Heart Academy. Established in 1993, the scholarship honors the life, philosophy, and achievements of the Academy’s founding principal. These scholars display strong academic success with promise of future accomplishment and truly affirm the Academy’s motto, Excelsior.
This year Sacred Heart welcomed thirteen new Antonine Scholars: Megan Lynn Baker of Cheshire; Alessandro Michele Cordero of Northford; Oviereya Betty-Maria Ekeh of Milford; Alyssa Joan Harduby of Wallingford; Susan Silliman Hemingway of Branford; Jenna Lois Kennedy of Wallingford; Brisa Nadiezdha Mendoza of Hamden; Julianna Christina Milidantri of Durham; Abby Elizabeth Noniewicz of Madison; Maria Theodora Papademetris of New Haven; Allison Pierce Rozear of Branford; Adalyn Grace Schommer of Cheshire; and Charlotte W. Wiley of Guilford.

The newest Sister Antonine Scholars and their families recently attended a reception held in their honor, hosted by the Admissions Office and current Antonine Scholars. Sacred Heart is proud of these young women and all incoming members of the Class of 2020. Members of the entering class come from 27 towns and 45 feeder schools.
Founded in 1946 by the Apostles of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, Sacred Heart successfully prepares young women in grades 9 – 12 for learning, service, and achievement in a global society. Sacred Heart Academy welcomes 500 students from more than 80 schools and 60 towns in Connecticut and is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
