Special Weather Statement Issued For New Haven/Middlesex County

Northern New Haven CT-Northern Middlesex CT-Southern New Haven CT-

"A thunderstorm will impact portions of northeastern New Haven and northern Middlesex Counties through NOON EDT...," the weather service wrote. "At 1115 AM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a thunderstorm over North Branford, or near Wallingford, moving northeast at 35 mph."

HAZARD...Winds in excess of 30 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.

Locations impacted include:
Meriden, Middletown, Wallingford, Guilford, East Hampton, Durham, Hamden, Branford, North Haven, North Branford, Cromwell, Portland, Haddam, Killingworth and Middlefield.
