Town Urges Residents To Prepare For Powerful Winter Nor'easter
Expected to impact the area from late Friday night until late Saturday, here's how to prepare and protect family, home and pets, town says.

BRANFORD, CT — The town is asking residents to prepare for a potentially powerful nor'easter that likely has the shoreline in the crosshairs this weekend.
Forecasters expect the storm to begin to impact the area late Friday night. Though there's disagreement about the amount of snow the shoreline will receive, high winds are a near certainly.
A Facebook post about the forecast notes that folks should prepare for a nor’easter with "possible blizzard conditions starting before daybreak on Saturday and continuing until Saturday evening with winds that could gust up to 50 MPH at times along the coast with temperatures in the upper teens and low 20’s."

In a message to residents, the town said that its Emergency Operations Center is "monitoring the storm closely."
