Vox Church Donates over 2,000 Bags of Food and Supplies During Their Annual Holiday Blitz Drive
Vox Church collects more bags of food and supplies for those in need than ever before!
This past Sunday Vox Church held their annual holiday blitz food and supply drive across their thirteen locations. Vox Church collected 2,050 bags of food and supplies for those in need this holiday season. All the food collected was distributed via local food pantries and ministries in each community.
“It feels like now more than ever there is a lot of uncertainty. We have received countless messages from food pantries with an overwhelming need for support to meet the needs of the people that come to their door. Many were also being impacted by SNAP benefits being on pause and government employees currently not being paid” says Bru Hickey, Vox Church Central Outreach Director.
All the food collected during the drive was donated to local food pantries including, Branford Food Pantry in Branford, the Amazing Grace Food Pantry in Middletown, the Seymour Oxford Food Bank in Seymour, and many more!

Bru Hickey explains that "the bible instructs us that if we have two coats to give one away, which is a call to not just look out for our own needs, but also to the needs of others. We always want to find ways to encourage our church to respond with generosity and compassion, especially around the holidays.”
