Walsh Dance Team Slayed At UDA Nationals, Placing 2nd, 3rd In Nation
The team took home trophies from the Universal Dance Association's National Dance Team 2024 Championship at Walt Disney World Resort.

BRANFORD, CT — To borrow a back-in-the-day lyric, "Ain't no stopping them now."
At the Universal Dance Association's National Dance Team 2024 Championship at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando last week, the Walsh Intermediate School dance team danced their way into the judge's hearts. The team took second place in the High Kick dance finals and third place in the Hip-Hop dance category finals.
According to UDA, dance teams from across the country were competing for a championship title. The event marked the conclusion of the dance season and allowed teams from all over the country to celebrate and compete "at the most magical place on earth."

"This group of amazing and talented young ladies are unstoppable with all of their hard work and determination," said Kristen Morgillo. "These girls saw through the vision that their coaches Jaime Seabring and Kelianna Dahl had for them."
Morgillo said that, "alongside their coaches this year, the girls had four amazing young ladies, Guilianna Gambardella, Tori Zalewski, Alanah Duncan and Rayna Wallen, who stepped up as captains and helped guide the team."

"With countless hours of practice and many trips to Long Island for competition," she added, "They stepped onto the nationals floor and took home not just one but two trophies."
