Branford gets Independence Day festivities underway early, with fireworks set for Saturday.
BRANFORD, CT, CT — Anxious to get Independence Day festivities under way, Branford's fireworks display is set for Saturday night.
Here's what you need to know:
Branford Fireworks: Branford Point, at dusk on Saturday night. Rain date is Sunday. Note: A decision on whether to postpone Branford Fireworks from Saturday to Sunday will be made by noon Saturday. Check back on the Branford Fireworks Facebook page here.

Getting there: Buses will bring folks to Branford Point, departing from Branford High School parking lot and the Exit 53 commuter lot beginning at 6 p.m. Organizers said buses will roll from 6 until "9:30 or so, depending on if people are waiting." Return buses will run "until no one is at the stop on the corner of Harbor and Stannard."

East Haven’s 21st Annual Fireworks and Beach Party celebration is Saturday. The event is a day-long festival of food, fun, fireworks and live music at the East Haven Town Beach. Fireworks rain date is Sunday.

New Haven, July 4, City of New Haven Fireworks, Wilbur Cross High School. New Haven lights up the sky with a 30-minute fireworks display at its annual 4th of July fireworks show. The pyrotechnic display from the summit of East Rock Park begins at 9 p.m. The best viewing location is from the Wilbur Cross High School parking lot.
