What To Know About Branford's Annual Holiday Tree Lighting, Parade

A Saturday event, including 'Shop Local,' the parade leaves Branford High School at 6:30 ends at Town Green for the holiday tree lighting.

BRANFORD, CT —The annual Holiday Tree Lighting and Parade is set for Saturday. Nov. 30.

Kick off the holiday season with an evening of festive lights and holiday cheer as the Branford Parks & Recreation Department invites everyone to the holiday event on the Branford Town Green.

This year, the parade will step off at 6:30 p.m. from Branford High School and march down East Main and Main streets, concluding with the tree lighting at 7:15 p.m. on the Town Green. All are welcome to line the parade route. Those who would like to join in on the fun and participate in the parade by carrying a festive banner, creating a float, or wearing holiday costumes must submit the official parade participation form and follow all parade rules.

The celebratory day begins at 10 a.m. with Shop Small Business Saturday, where folks are encouraged to shop local this holiday.

Those who wish to are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to benefit the Branford Food Council.
