BRANFORD, CT - Wreaths Across America was greeted by a flag waving crew of Branford residents as they headed off Exit 55 and made the way down Route 1 to the Fire Department on Tuesday afternoon - shortly after 1:30 p.m.

The convoy of about two dozen trucks, cars, motorcycles and other vehicles is part of the convoy of wreath-layers that annually, on the second or third Saturday of December make their way from from Harrington, Maine to Arlington National Cemetery.

It has become known as the world’s largest veterans’ parade, stopping at schools, monuments, veterans’ homes and communities all along the way to remind people how important it is to remember, honor and teach.
