12 People Temporarily Displaced By House Fire In Bridgeport: FD

BRIDGEPORT, CT — Twelve people, 10 adults and two children, were temporarily displaced Thursday afternoon following a house fire at 237 Helen St., according to fire officials.

No injuries were reported in the blaze, which occurred in a two-story, wood frame home.

Firefighters saw smoke upon arrival, but were able to quickly extinguish the fire.

The Bridgeport Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire, and the American Red Cross is assisting the home's occupants.
