2 Killed, 2 Hurt In Overnight Shooting: Bridgeport Police

BRIDGEPORT, CT — An overnight shooting left two people dead and two injured in Bridgeport, according to police.

Officers responded around 11:15 p.m. Saturday to the area of Stratford Avenue and Logan Street in the East End neighborhood and found three people suffering from gunshot wounds, police said, adding a fourth gunshot victim arrived at an area hospital around the same time.

Two of the victims — a 30-year-old man and a 32-year-old man, both from Bridgeport — died early Sunday morning at the hospital, according to police. The other victims — a 34-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man, also from Bridgeport — were in stable condition Sunday morning, police said.

“The Bridgeport Police Department’s thoughts and prayers go out to both victim’s friends and family,” police said in a news release.

Authorities were collecting evidence Sunday morning but said the shooting did not initially appear to be related to any other criminal cases under investigation by Bridgeport detectives, according to police.
