Bridgeport Man Arrested in Connection with Home Invasion
The arrest was a result of an investigation of a home invasion that occurred on Jan. 12, 2016 at at a residence on Beckett Street in Danbury

DANBURY, CT — The Danbury Police Department announced Wednesday that a Bridgeport man was arrested as a result of an investigation of a home invasion that occurred on Beckett Street in Danbury in January. The Danbury Police Department held an active warrant for the arrest of Rafael Serrano, 36, of Bridgeport, and on July 27 the U.S. Marshall Fugitive Task Force out of Bridgeport took him into custody.
Police said that Serrano and Francisco Jimenez, 39, of Danbury, broke into the residence while the mother was home with two children. Serrano and Jimenez then dragged her upstairs, ransacked the residence and stole an undisclosed amount of money and jewelry, police said.
Serrano was charged with home invasion, second degree burglary and third degree larceny and held on a $100,000 court set bond.

Francisco Jimenez was arrested on April 27, 2016 and charged with home invasion, second degree burglary and third degree larceny and held on a $100,000 court set bond.
The suspects' mugshots are currently unavailable, police said.
