Bridgeport Man Arrested On Possession Of Child Pornography Charges: PD
The suspect was taken into custody last week by the U.S. Marshal's Violent Fugitive Task Force.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — A 37-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested last week on a warrant charging him with two counts of possession of child pornography and related offenses.
Jose Luis Albino, also known as Jose Albino-Santiago, was taken into custody on Thursday by U.S. Marshal’s Violent Fugitive Task Force. In addition to the possession of child pornography charges, Albino was also charged with risk of injury to a child, and enticing a minor.
In early September, the Bridgeport Police Department's Special Victim's Unit received information from the Federal Bureau of Investigation - New Haven regarding a discovery of Child Sexual Abuse Material, police said. As a result of that communication, Bridgeport Police Det. Davon Polite opened a case.

About a month later, Polite received additional information from the Connecticut State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force about multiple Cyber Tipline reports of numerous uploaded files related to child pornography, police said.
Under Federal Statute 42 USC 13032, Internet Service Providers are mandated to register with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and then report any occurrences of child pornography on their systems, according to authorities.

In this case, the reports were generated from an unnamed company that owns a freeware instant messaging mobile app. The company believed child pornography was being saved, shared, or uploaded by one of their users and reported it, police said.
Authorities determined that Albino was the suspect, and as a result, Polite obtained arrest warrants for him on the above-mentioned charges, police said.
Albino's home was searched following his arrest last week, and "multiple items of evidence were recovered," police added.
Albino is being held in lieu of bail of $550,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
