Bridgeport Police Probing 3 Homicides Over Weekend: Report

The city is on pace to see nearly 30 homicides this year.

BRIDGEPORT, CT — City police are investigating after three people were killed in separate incidents over the weekend, reports the Connecticut Post. Police say that the killings were isolated incidents, and they do not appear to be connected to gang activity.

On Saturday, 37-year-old Chaz Rogers was found dead on Stratford Avenue. Police then reported to Fremont and Norman Street at 2:04 a.m. Sunday morning to find a man shot after a neighbor dispute. Later at 4:27 a.m., a man was shot on Alice Street in a parking lot.

The city is on pace to see nearly 30 homicides this year. There were 10 homicides in all of 2016.
