Bridgeport Man Convicted In 2024 Murder: CT State's Attorney (patch.com) — Bridgeport residents are learning more about a 2024 shooting that left one person dead and another wounded, after a local jury convicted 35-year-old Terence Gallimore of murder and related charges. Prosecutors detailed how Gallimore used an AK-47-style rifle near Stratford and Carroll avenues, and he now faces up to 90 years when sentenced in Bridgeport Superior Court in February 2026.
   

2. CT residents say sluggish economy is putting a damper on their holiday cheer (ctpublic.org) — Bridgeport families are feeling the squeeze this holiday season, with residents at a West End supermarket and local advocates describing rising prices, high poverty, and wages that lag far behind what it takes to get by in the city. Yet groups like NOURish Bridgeport and generous neighbors are stepping up with food, coats, and other support to help struggling households through the season.
   

3. GBTA bus crashes into multiple vehicles, Bridgeport train station (wfsb.com) — A Greater Bridgeport Transit Authority bus crashed into the Bridgeport Train Station structure and several vehicles Tuesday night, sending multiple people to local hospitals, all conscious and alert. Northbound Water Street is closed between State and John streets while police reconstruct the crash, though train service continues. Investigators are asking anyone with information to contact the Bridgeport Police Traffic Division.
   

4. Seymour police release video of alleged hit-and-run driver (wtnh.com) — An 18-year-old woman hit by a pickup’s side mirror in Seymour is now being treated at Bridgeport Hospital, and police are searching for the driver. Investigators released security video and say the truck likely has passenger-side mirror damage, asking anyone with information to contact Seymour detectives or submit anonymous tips.
   

5. Connecticut doctor: How to protect yourself from illness this holiday season (wtnh.com) — A Bridgeport Hospital emergency medicine chair is urging residents to stay home if they feel sick and to rely on vaccines, handwashing, and masking as flu and RSV cases spike across Connecticut. With a so‑called “super flu” driving infections up more than 1,600% statewide, his advice is especially timely for anyone heading to holiday gatherings.
